Hey there, So with some help from the community, I was able to import my 3DSMax character into Poser using the .obj file format. Now, I created a bone structure successfully, but I'm having trouble grouping, so that the character can be posed. After I import the character into Poser, I realized that I can select individual objects. My character is not a full interconnected mesh, but a series of separate objects. I'd like to be able to group an entire object with a bone rather than select individual polygons and group those to a bone. It is way to difficult to select each polygon because the character is hi-res (way to many tiny little polygons). How can I select whole, individual, objects from the character to be grouped with a bone. Thanks again for all your time and help!

Thanks for the informative link, Dr. Geep :) However, after reading it, your example makes use of a two polygon prop. My prop (as it enters the setup room as one object) contains thousands. I'm still unsure how I can select individual objects to be grouped, instead of polys. Thanks again for your kind help!

How can I select whole, individual, objects from the character to be grouped with a bone. One way to do it is to use your modeling program to assign material zones to the various groups you want to create, and then use the "Add Material" button in the group editor to convert the material zone into a group. The other way is to use something like UV Mapper to add the groups. It's a lot easier than using the Group Editor.
