Well, it'a official now that DAZ3d has bought out PP. All I can say to that is... (pardon my language) "shit!!!"

Well, I really enjoyed reading the "Chicken Coop" threads there at PP. They're were times it got pretty heated....y'know how it gets here sometimes? ...but at PP there really wasn't much censorship, however I see that all ending now that DAZ is owning it.

I understand that Daz is also looking to buy some of the old Soviet Union's medium range missles,........wonder what those folks are up to ?

In spite of Penguinisto's blathers, I still do not understand why Poser Pros had to be sold. There was some serious 3d knowledge being exchanged over there and I hope that does not change.

Deja Vu all over again a093.gif didn't they want to sell to daz once before?

Better buy the stuff in my PoserPros cart and wishlist before they become DAZ priced. DAZ's prices seem to have gotten to a fairly uniform high...

GG...I hope that doesn't change either. As far as I know from posts there, the only increase will be at the merchants expense. PP split it 50/50. DAZ wants 60/40.

RubiconDigital posted Sun, 13 February 2005 at 6:38 PM

The current split is 60/40 in favour of the merchant actually.

Ardiva posted Mon, 14 February 2005 at 12:22 AM

I certainly hope your right, Rubi. :)

RubiconDigital posted Mon, 14 February 2005 at 4:08 PM

You can read the split on the product upload page there. But it's not going to stay that way for long. Enough said.

Ardiva posted Mon, 14 February 2005 at 4:38 PM

On the Daz site it is 50% for exclusive product rights. It doesn't say however if it is a non-exclusive product..how much cut for the merchant, but I'm assuming that it's 60/40 in favor of Daz.

RubiconDigital posted Mon, 14 February 2005 at 4:47 PM

The current Poser Pros split is 60/40. In post 12 you said it was 50/50. That's what I was referring to, not the current DAZ percentages.

Ardiva posted Mon, 14 February 2005 at 9:17 PM

Yes, it used to be 50/50 at PP. Heres the latest off their site: ================================ Merchant Cuts and Payment Schedules: Non Exclusive: 60% Exclusive: 75% Software: 70%
