This is the Plug-In I couldn't wait for.But compared to the free one that came with Poser PP it's really expensive.So I would like to know more about its Highlights and Errors.

Hi, you might want to ask over in the C4D forum here. User "poserpro" was on the beta team and has used it extensively. AFAIK it works exactly as the old poser propack plugin did in that it "hosts" the poser scene in Cinema. that means no interaction with native Cinema objects or effects except lighting and textures of course and I hope you are on a PC as this plugin only supports windows Good luck :-)

"that means no interaction with native Cinema objects or effects except lighting and textures of course" Wolf, the 3dsmax plugin from Reiss (which I'm assuming is the same thing as the Cinema one comparitively speaking) does allow some types of limited dynamics interaction (hard body, soft body, and cloth) and also particle interaction with the imported Poser scene, as well as the ability to apply Max modifiers to the scene figures, etc. The cinema one doesn't? Just curious. PS: One thing you have to do (in Max at least) in order to get dynamics to work properly with the objects in the imported scene is to apply an "edit mesh" modifier to the figures first. Then they can affect things in the scene (like water dynamics, etc.). Not sure what the equivalent would be in Cinema.

The equivalent in cinema is the "make editable" button but that converts the hosted poser file to a native cinema4D poly mesh object fully textured but all the animation Data and the connection to the poser Pz3 is lost :-(

Ok, I see what you mean. It's a little different in Max. If I were to simply convert the objects to an editable mesh after import, then it would do the same thing you're saying. However, in Max, you can apply an "edit mesh" modifier to an individual object in the PZ3 (which is kind of like a "layer" over the original) so that it doesn't actually convert it to an editable mesh, but still allows you to do whatever you want to it as if it were. This allows you to keep the animation data intact from the hosted PZ3, which is great. Message edited on: 02/11/2005 19:58
