I,ve been trying to figure out how to do this in Vue 5 Esprit with no success. If someone knows how, please share your wisdom. Thanks

Create some spheres (or you can use rocks for rougher cloud surfaces or a terrain if the clouds completely shroud an area of ground) and size and position them to get the general shape of your clouds. Apply one of the cloud materials from the "volumetrics" tab (I think, don't have Vue on my machine here at work) of the material library to each sphere (or other object). Then fiddle about with size, position, shape and material settings until you get the exact look you're aiming for. -- Mark

Or even easier, load the cloud from "Miscellaneous" and start to play with that. Then you will understand the principle of the spheres.

One day your ship comes in - but you're at the airport.

Try experimenting with metablobs as well, using the same principle as above, only combine the spheres to create more amorphous shapes.

not to hard.. just have to select the right cloud texture nd shape it the way you'd like.. here is one I did really quick with one sphere stretched out

Hexagon, Carrara, Sculptris, and recently Sketchup.
