These are great. I hope I'm not out of line for making a request. But, can someone make a basketball morph. I tried to do a texture, but it don't have the detail. March Madness is coming up, and that would really be cool.

randym77 posted Tue, 15 February 2005 at 7:31 AM

That would be cool. All the sports would be even better. Baseball, football, hockey, tennis...

pigfish9 posted Tue, 15 February 2005 at 7:41 AM

Matching morphs for the shoes would be great with the sports figures, too, i.e., iceskates for hockey, spikes for baseball/football, tennies for tennis, etc.

Smoovie posted Tue, 15 February 2005 at 7:57 AM

Yeah!! I didn't think about the basketball sneakers. Ice skates, wow. They could be used for figureskating, too.

Mec4D posted Tue, 15 February 2005 at 10:57 AM

ok here is the screen shot of the simple shader, it create sort of soft effect, try to change any color from the PINK one but not the other surfaces. Render using displacement without shadows or you need to get down of the displacement value to avoide dark areas.

hi i tried to give my emoticon a felty skin like in your snapshot but it didn't come out right.... i had the settings EXACTLY the same as in your snapshot but mine has come out sort of streaky...... (shown in snapshot). what did i do wrong? please help me as i really like this effect and would like to make it on my emotiguy... also, how do you get the eyes to be so white? is it the lighting? as you can see, my ones are greyish? and....... why is the emoticon in the snapshot shown with the texture when my one is only grey? is yours a render copied into the screen just for the snapshot, or is this something else i did wrong? hope someone can help me here.... thanx. oh, by the way, thanx for the morphs...... didn't mean to sound rude without saying anything :)

Sartones posted Sun, 20 February 2005 at 6:00 PM

here are the settings i used.... exactly the same as yours....

NemesisT posted Mon, 21 February 2005 at 2:29 AM

Maybe it's your light settings Sartones ?

randym77 posted Mon, 21 February 2005 at 5:52 AM

I tried it, and Cath's settings work find for me. It must be your lighting What lighting are you using? Do you still get that pattern if you render with shadows off?

Sartones posted Mon, 21 February 2005 at 8:13 AM

i am using the default lights.....#i'm new to poser so don't really know much about it.... i didn't see anything in the sapshot above about lighting so i assumed it had to stay as it was....

randym77 posted Mon, 21 February 2005 at 12:00 PM

You can use any lighting you want. But the default lighting has a yellowish cast, that can make white and other light colors look odd. Try rendering with shadows off, and see if you get that same pattern. Also, try rendering in Production Mode, rather than draft mode, and see if it's any better. If that doesn't fix it, post a screen shot of your Render Settings.

Sartones posted Mon, 21 February 2005 at 4:09 PM

um...... i didn't realise i was rendering in draft mode... as soon as i changed it to production mode, it looked a lot better.... (what an idiot). i just have a few black streaks on it now, but i can sort that in psp afterwards.... thanx for helping.....
