Has anyone else had instability problems with the latest release of Vue 5? After automatically updating, my Vue models started crashing all the time and some files wouldn't even open. I had to uninstall it and re-install from the original disk, now two updates old.
In Vue 4, imported models were ALWAYS visible as wireframe in each window, either black when unselected or red when selected. In Vue 5, they only appear when they are selected, otherwise they are white (or sometimes grey), making them invisible against the background and a nightmare to work with. I've tried adjusting the Open GL settings and altering the view settings in each window, but it doesn't help. Any ideas?
3)When using radiosity I get a patchy effect on the ground (see top image)- it seems to be worse the more complex the model is. I also get noise when using glass materials (see lower image)- I can minimise it if I use the "bubble" texture, but it's terrible with Vue's own glass materials. What gives?
I'd be very grateful for any advice,
Jackson
