I need some tips on the rendering. I sometimes have problems rendering, it crashes sometimes or it takes too long that I get kinda frustrated. Any tips on how to get a good and fast render?

Kids these days probably don't even know what Polaroid is. Everything's digital! :-)m, check out Stefan's Firefly FAQ. He's got some good tips on speeding up renders, and avoiding crashes.
Note that there are always tradeoffs. Smaller bucket size is less likely to crash, but much slower. Higher shading rate is faster, but the image won't look as good. Etc.

AMD 3500+ XP, 4GIG RAM, Twin 10000RPM Raptors in Raid-0 array, WIN XP Pro fresh install with strategic partitions, Do not connect this sys to the internet. Spartan Runtime Folder ruthlessly devoid of everything not needed. Dear m-an-m, apart from Randy's good advice, we are 'here' but we are not being too helpful yet, because you have not posted either 1) an image or 2) an experience or 3) what you have already tried. The more you give and the cleaner your information, the more we can help ::::: Opera :::::

Too many objects in your scene? Perhaps your system does not meet the system requirments for Poser... maybe you need more ram? There's way too many factors that play into this... As Opera stated (rather coldly mind you... you the new post police Opera?) a bit more information from you would be beneficial to help figure this out! Take care! I hope folks here can help!! G

I've crashed in P4 because of the large file size of V3 & M3, depending on the figures you are working with V3, is a file hog and can bog down Poser and slow your rendering speed. When I finish with a V3 the file size is usually round 30-35megs when saved. Not sure if that's the case with what you're trying to do or not. Takes too long to do what? Your loading time of a figure or Poser? What version of Poser are you using? :) (JMHO)

Polaroids are very painful when you sit down. I had a haemmaroid camera, it was a pain in the ass.

xantor, if you have a re-occurance...help is on the way, some scientists are saying that the earth's magnetic poles are about to reverse, putting your problem far away from where you sit. ::::: Opera :::::

Polaroid is nothing to do with the north and south poles. The name comes from polarize like in the sunglasses lenses. Unless I missed something...
