I purchased P5 as a direct download from CL over the summer. The email they sent me said the upgrade would be $129. Lots of people are saying that the upgrade is only $89. How does someone get the $89 (i.e. actually at a reasonable price) upgrade?
Arien posted Thu, 17 February 2005 at 7:39 AM
Apparently the upgrade is for early-birds who pre-ordered P5. However, I did pre-order P5, and didn't get the offer for that upgrade either, which is tickling me quite badly. I've sent an IM to their representative at Rendo to find out what is going on, but I believe it might be a States only promotion.

CL offered a $50 coupon (for orders over $100) back in december if you signed up for their newsletter. I signed up and paid $88.75 pre-sale order for the boxed version.

I got 2 e-mails from them yesterday, one with the $89 offer the other was for $124 or something like that. I'm kinda of scared to pe-order because how bad 5 was last time. I still don't use it.

I haven't heard of anyone overseas getting the $89 offer. Or 89 euro offer, or whatever it would be.
I can't believe they would cut out the overseas early adopters, though. Maybe it's just an oversight.

I originally signed up for their newsletter last summer and think it stinks that I don't get the $50 coupon because I wanted the newsletter earlier than Christmas! I'm a P5 user and feel totally ripped by the company right now. Kristta

I got both emails from CL too, and I was a "pre-order" customer of P5. My problems is, when I followed the instructions in the email for the $89 version, their website wouldn't take the designated "coupon code", and the final order billing remained at $129 instead of the discounted $89, so I canceled out of placing the order. Still not sure how to order with the "coupon code" correctly, but the email warned that once the coupon code was entered, it could not be used again. I don't know if that applies to an aborted order or not.

Well, if Curious Labs is listening... I pre-ordered P5 and haven't recieved any notice of a special deal for P6. If I'm eligible for it I won't pay more.

I bought P5 in November and signed up for the newsletter then. I don't think I received any coupon for $50 but then I got two emails from them yesterday and only read one because I thought the other was a duplicate. Now, according to Turtle, one of them might have been for the cheaper deal. They've both been deleted so I'll never be sure. Drat! :(

doesn't your e-mail soft have a "trash" bin? -_-

It doesn't.
I worried about that, too. I tried to place my order using Firefox, only to discover that the "checkout" button was invisible in Firefox. (Pretty common in web stores; I should have known.) I had already put in my coupon code, and the discount showed in my shopping cart, but I couldn't check out. I had to switch to IE, put in all my info again (including serial number and coupon code). It worked fine. The coupon code applied correctly and everything.

I pre-ordered Poser 5 (or at the very least bought it the week it came out... but I'm 99% sure I pre-ordered) But I never got the offer. Probably cuz My E-mail has changed since P5 came out. I used a customer service contact form on their site to inquire earlier today... Hopefully I'll hear back soon. :(

I ordered Poser5 too, but my email changed and I moved. I also haven't been getting their newsletters, but resubscribed recently. Maybe I need to call them.

I had no problems ordering P6 for $89. Guess I am one lucky one.:)The total order came up to $98.75 due to $9.75 shipping and handling.

Hi,
It looks like we may not have gotten any of the European user data back from Egisys before they closed their doors.
If you are in any region outside of the US, and purchased Poser 5 from September 6th 2002 to October 31st 2002, please IM me with your proof of purchase and contact details ASAP!
Thank you,
Katherine

Just a quick sanity check on the dates.
Did you really mean the last date to be October 2002 ?
Edit:
What do you need as proof of purchase ?

Does that mean we need to send proof of purchase for the upgrade price as well or just if we're eligable for the voucher?
Curious_Labs posted Thu, 17 February 2005 at 5:17 PM
Just eligability from the date range. And yes, it is the first release of Poser 5 Windows; out on September 6, 2002 through October 31, 2002 who qualify for this special upgrade price. With kind regards, Katherine

Proof of purchase would be the serial number I guess, as it's probably stored on a database with the date it was purchased at CL somewhere. I preordered P5 (UK) & I just got the email saying I'm eligible for the discount which means I'd be paying 81.99 for an upgrade from Poser5.
