Just submitted a new tutorial. It's just a couple of ideas for creating atmospherics in Bryce and Photoshop, after the new forum ruler Zhann demanded I do one lol!

mmm... newbie sacrifice.

Excellent tips and tricks, orbital. I might just utilize the first one using the large sphere in the image I'm working on now. thanks! Lets throw "Uncle Drac" at Zhann's feet instead of a newbie.

i'm a fairly fearless person. but not zhann. anything but zhann. i'll take AS, Spike, whoever. Just not ZHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!!! drac (now i'm scared)

Quiet Drac you'll wake her and make her mad. Remember now shes on Admin she only gets 3 hrs sleep a week.

Looking good, Orbital! My only thing about postwork lighting is that it doesn't interact with the scene, thus, postworked volumetrics don't cast shadows...

Point taken, but the reason I did this was because a fair few people ask how I do atmospheres. This is just one technique I thought would be simple for people to try.

No, I wasn't critiquing your reasons for making the tutorial! Very valuable information in there... Good work!

My gawd, is there nothing sacred anymore?! Nice tux though, and I 'only suggested' a tut, but since it's here, whoo hoooo.....thanks orbital.....;P

PS that's s very scary Drackity, you have there... Iron fist, never, subtlety is the key, coersion, persuasion, suggestion...

Orbital i have been following your tutorial on creating atmospherics in Bryce. I have one problem with it though. it could be my fault but could you tell me where i actually find the wispy cloud mat you used. i can't seem to find the volumetric catergory menu in bryce anywhere. I feel like a real goose asking this because i have the strangest feeling i have been looking at it a few times.

No probs 1. Click the edit triangle 2. Select volume menu 3. Wispy cloud mat second row down
