Hi all I am wondering if there is a way to create a trans map for body hair and tattoos? I want to make a set of changeable tattoos that can be applied to different textures. Most tattooed texture sets I've been finding in the marketplace just have a texture without tats and a texture with tats in the package. My idea is to create tattoos that can be applied to various parts of the body without having to change the texture map(s) for skin tones. Any suggestions? Same with body hair basically. Would each hair pattern have to be applied to a seperate skin texture map? Thanks E.D.

If you have Poser 5, I'd use a math node in the materials room and then scale the image node with the U and V controls.

Here is an example.

Notice that in the second image map node I am using the U_scale and V_scale to size the tattoo and I am using the U_offset and V_Offset to position the tattoo (you'll need to play around with this to get it the right size and in the right location) Also notice that the Image_mapped control is changed from tile to none. Finally be sure to set the color math node to multiply instead of the default add.

ok i see. now is there a method for use in P4 or PP? My goal is for this to be useable by people on all 3 versions of poser. E.D.

the only way to make this usable by p4/pp people is with a)a transmapped 'prop' object or clothing item like the bodysuit or b) a 'do it yourself' kit of psd overlays for the user to put on their own textures
