For anyone with XenoDream 1.5 who didn't already get them from the xenodreampix group, some tree parameter files are now available. If you don't have XD (yet!) and want an obj file to play with, there is a winter tree with fewer branches than in the Deciduosity pic at http://xenodream.com/downloads/TreeB1fall.zip (1.1MB, 51k polys smoothed). I'm making one with more branches that is about double the size, if anyone wants that too. Garth.

Thank you! There are some at the Yahoo site, but they are not zipped, and I have no idea how to get them into XD. I've been wanting to try them. Miriah

Thanks for making these available! I have one of the .obj's rendering now and will post it when it finishes!

ad QuietRiot:
"right mouse-click: target save to:"
save it in any folder you like
You get a ".xep.txt"-file
remove".txt" and You can use the .xep-file!

ad Xenodream Software:
Thank You for the files.
I just started with XD and I am glad about helpful examples!

Oh, cool...thanks, alegrocher. Watch out. XD is totally consuming. Hours will fly by before you know it! Miriah

Here's a quick render in Bryce. I imported the tree obj file and added a bark mat, then duplicate and slightly moved the dup, then put a white marble mat on it to simulate snow. 5 terrains were added for ground and effects, and a single spotlight for sun. Thanks for the file! I think it will be very useful :)

Very interesting effect; I've never seen terrains done quite like that. Thanks! Garth.
