A trial insect wing material. Please let me know what you think.

I'm working on adding the iridescent shimmer to it, and obviously the shape isn't an insect wing yet.

with the iridescent shimmer, it might be better..most insects have a greenish- brownish wing... the veins look cool..

Try that Jerry Garcia material in Psychodelic, IIRC. Or at least one of the psychodelic materials.

Mahray, I can't believe you would stoop to this. I am simply outraged at your insensitivity. Do not, I repeat, do not scan insect wings. (Bug goo is hard to clean off.)

WOW! That's lovely. Is it possible to increase the irridescence? At the moment it's only visible on the very edge of the "wing" that's out of the line of the white block's shadow. But even as it is, if you position lights right in a final scene it could look spectacularly nice. Um... gotta tutorial on how to do this? Fran (ever hopeful)

What or where is Psychodelic IIRC? I'm not familiar with that one. Always looking for additional info on textures and materials. Thanks.

IIRC (If I Recall Correctly)

That little Drop-Down Arrow next to the texture name, click it for a drop-down menu of DTE presets, shift-click it for to open the texture library.

Wondering about the drop-down arrow next to the word installed? Go here...stevesartgallery.bryce-alive.net... then tutorials then Bryce5, it's covered a little down the page. (All in frames and I can't link to those.)
