Hi I have just started using Bryce and think it is great but I'm not sure if I have a setting wrong or what but it appears if I start a render and switch over to do anything else it stops the render and i have to hit resume render button to get it to start again. It also does this when my terminal goes into sleep mode....it shuts off if there is no keyboard action in like 3 minutes i think.....does anyone know how I can correct this. I can't babysit the renderer....LOL...any input appreciated. Thanks

If you click anywhere within the bryce window the render will stop, you have to minimize bryce by hovering your mouse at the top until the menu bar appears, then hit the minimize button. You can also use windows key + d or alt + tab. You may also have your cpu set to turn off when it goes into sleep mode. Right click on the desktop, click properties. In the Screen Saver tab there's a box that says Monitor Power, click the power button. A new dialogue comes up, go to the Power Schemes tab. There should be a menu with Turn off CPU after 3 min.....Never. It sounds like you have it on 3 min at the moment, change it to something higher.

I suggest turning off all screensavers and power saver settings when rendering...Bryce doesn't play nice with them.

yes it is Zhann. i also find using ALT+ the tab key helps. using that way you can switch between open windows or programs

I always use windowskey+d (because it takes you to the "d"esktop), but apparently m works too. Something new every day, eh?
