An early wip of my model for the Flying Machines Challenge. Modeled in Wings3d. I was going to tell what plane it's based on, but I'd like to see if GG or Bazze or one of our other resident aircraft experts can guess. Hint: the engine and prop will be placed between the wings and tail. :^) Please excuse the low res render. I'll make the propeller blades with Intersect Booleans in Bryce to satisfy that requirement. That's easy, it's based on a Royal Aircraft Factory F.E. 2b, or maybe an Airco DH 2. Looking good I ust say.

Svaelt: Right nation, 1 or 2 years earlier, though. Thank you and Kemal, too.

Looks like an F.E.2b to me also. Excellent work. I love how you get the realistic fabric sag between the wing ribs. SWEEEEET!!(Baby James)

Well, it's supposed to be a Vickers F.B.5 (Gunboat), but that's very close to the RAF F.E.2b in general design. :^) Check out my update in a new thread to see how close I'm getting to this reference drawing.
