well, cool dry atmosphere, face masks, clean cutlery and lots of soap..oh, sorry, wrong kind of rendering..;) The answer is 'it depends'; low resolution for speed, high resolution for detail, it's a tradeoff. It might help to know which package we're talking about..I usually check the 'anti alias' box, but then I'm an invertebrate reader (no backbone), and a paperback usually isn't far away..;)

Stefan's site has a good section for rendering options in P5. Check out the Firefly FAQ and the overview of options.

pakled, I thought the soap was what you were rendering the pig in order to make? If so, I'd suggest adding lavender to the list. Carolly

Hmm..actually, you do pigs around January or February, and you boil 'em to get the bristles off, and then you go to work. Sorry, there's 'rendering', which is what you do with a carcass when all the edible parts have been removed..down here we use every part of a pig but the squeal..;)

IIRC, soap is pig fat and lye... not a sweet combination, but an effective cleanser. I would have hated to make my own, though. :(
