Got a call last night from the Australian Cattle Dog Rescue, and it was her!! I am so relieved to have her back. She's getting her chip in today. A lady saw her camped out by the river and fed her every day for 3 weeks. Sage finally followed her back to her office on Friday and thought about keeping her but called last night to see if she belonged to anyone. The lady with the ACD couldn't find our number but thought she knew Sage from the news reports and googled on that and found us. Half of the reward is going to her so she can get another little dog surgery, and the lady who found her said to donate the other half to help animals, so we will give her $500 to the shelters in the form of dog and cat food. Sorry to go on and on, just so glad to have her back. Now off to the vet for the chip and new collar and heartworm test and checkup. Always feels good to spread good news. Marque

Congratulations. Cannot afford to keep a dog, but I love animals, and it's good to hear good news, especially from real life, not virtual one ;-)

"Got a call last night from the Australian Cattle Dog Rescue, and it was her!!" It's amazing they let your dog use the phone. Most places wouldn't do that. Anyway, congrats on your good fortune.

We lost our kitty for a whole day, and I was just lost without her. Then one day I looked below the porch stairs, and there she was, peeking out, shyly. She got scooped up in my arms so fast! We have another cat and a dog. They're family. I'm glad you found Sage.

Good news indeed! They've gone from companions to pets to family... I think cats and dogs have us pretty well domesticated, but it might be a few thousand more years before we are completely obediant. Glad that you have your dog home again. Carolly

I am so happy for you Marque!!! I just can't imagine losing my litte dog Mimi. They are like our children, aren't they? I've been called names because I said that one day but I don't care: our little Mimi is like a little girl to us and we hope to keep her for as long as she'll live. Thank God for honest people! And have a great reunion party. ;o)
