Hello all,
I'm running into some difficulty transferring magnets/morphs from one figure to another. Here's what I am trying to do:
I have a finished V3 character which uses both the Wyrmmaster Millennium Deformers as well as some mods dialed in via the DAZ face and body morphs for V3. I would like to create an INJ pose or some other mechanism to capture the settings from both magnets and morphs and inject them into a new V3 figure.
Here's how I tried to do this:
I used Ockham's Python script to convert the deformer effects to morphs, and for good measure, I also created a full body morph (though I'm not sure this is needed). I tried to remove the magnets using Ockham's delete magnets script, but for some reason, they do not disappear (again, I'm not sure this step is necessary). I then used DAZ Injection Pose Builder to generate an INJ pose for the original character, then applied the INJ to the new figure.
What happens:
The adjustments applied to the DAZ morphs shared by both figures are transferred. The new morphs created by Ockham's script (under the affected body parts) are not transfered, apparently because such morphs do not already exist for the new character. So the deformer information is lost in transition, so to speak.
After reading some recent posts, I came across two other utilities which may be better suited to what I am trying to do here: Injection Magic (also from DAZ) and Poser's Little Helper. Do these tools create the new morphs as well as port the new settings? Is it possible to transfer both morphs and magnet settings between characters in some other way?
Any guidance or pointers would be greatly appreciated.

How did you create the FBM? I've never used Wyrmmaster Millennium Deformers or Ockham's script so I'm ignorant as to whether they afford the possibility. If a FBM is all you require and you've got The Tailor and an hour to spare, I've had excellent results with the linked strategy.nruddock posted Mon, 28 February 2005 at 1:45 PM

See linked thread, it may help.baggettbear posted Mon, 28 February 2005 at 3:06 PM
nruddock... thanks for the link. As it contains Wyrmmaster's own instructions on how to use IPB to save the mag settings as morphs, I think this is just what I need.
caulbox... I added the FBM using the P5 option after creating the mag morphs with the Ockham script. I've used Tailor to create new morphs for clothing, but not for other figures. It seems this may be an option as well. Thanks.

Injection pose builder ONLY works with the stock morphs as You've found. I used PozersLittleHelper to make the PW v3 morph set. I used magnets to deform the figure, then spawned morphs for each bodypart. Set the morphs to 1, removed the magnets. Exported the figure as an obj. Then used PLH to make the INJ deltas and everything. So yes it is possible, but work intensive. if you dont mind a little manual work, you can stop after the morph spawning and just use MorphManager to copy the morphs over to other v3 figures. thats really the simplest method if you dont need to worry about ease of customer use
