I want add a text on my picture. I found a tutorial explaining how do it but on Poser 4 that seems have the option transparent maps on dialog material. Poser 5 dont have this option on material room.
I made my lettering on Photoshop, black and white, added a square prop on my scenic and I cannot find how it works.
It should be great if someone explain to me or give me a URL for some good tutorial.
Thank you very much again,
aniela

Hi Doc.:-)
I saw this tutorial before my post and even played with transparency settings. I get 2 extremes: or I dont see nothing when rendering my pic (everything is transparent) or my lettering (white) have the same transparency as his background (black). I couldnt find how make only black transparent. I checked out again this tutorial to see what I missed but no clue.. aniela

Try setting Transparency_Falloff to 0.
randym77 posted Tue, 01 March 2005 at 9:10 AM
Oh, and you should attach the transparency map to Transparency.

You set the colour of the text in Diffuse_Color If you want to get a bit of reflection from the lettering, set the Specular_Color as usual. To prevent reflections from the transparent part of the object (you might want them for glass), plug the transparency map into both Transparency and Specular_Color It's that last which can sometimes catch people out with Poser 5.

Aww, thank you very much for your tip. In fact I am trying lot of options here to find good visual effects on lettering.
BTW, I learned only today I can plug using mouse (hitting and dragging) and now I know how plug more than 1 node to another. Living and learning. Learning and living.:-) I think I am discovering Nodes's World.
