Doug is of the opinion that the top of this image (see link) was enough. But IMHO cropping just below the hand destroys the context of the figure completely - the hand belongs to nobody...

Um, personally I think the oringal one looks better. You are correct in saying that the hand belongs to nobody. Almost as if it's someone elses hand that is pulling at her hair. To me, the original would be close to impossible to crop and still look ok....just my two cents.

I agree, it could be someone elses hand, but that could be interesting... ;)

OK that was last night and I needed sleep. Today I see it much differently.I still do prefer the B&W version though.

i think b/w looks better. i would like to see her whole arm/hand.

Definitely the BW for me too.... however I do wish that the whole hand and arm were visible in that one too.

Christ, I was wondering how long it would be before we saw some T&A in the forum - I was getting withdrawal symptoms ;-) Next time, please don't be afraid to ask if she can use my hand. She can and what's more I'll do it free. (",)

The B&W works best IMO. Also there seems to be a little less shadow over the right eye than in the colour version.

i just grabbed one colour version to crop it in the sense of Doug; so the differences between colour and b/w reside in different conversions of the same RAW file (was Fuji's HyperUtility as the light version doesn't work properly in high key/low key variations...) for the form I take the message that uncropped arms would fit best (not in this shot, unfortunately...) thanks for all replies...
