is the Daz plugin still the only way to import from po ser to Bryce?
chohole posted Sat, 05 March 2005 at 4:12 PM
I don't have any of the Daz stuff, I just export obj's from poser and then import into bryce. No problem's.

Oh and BTW, the image I am working on at the moment has to date 24 poser figs in it, and more to come. I have to admit I am rendering in layers with object masks though.

Really Moonflower? Well, big WAAAH! Here's a clue. Try using the search engine here in the Forum using keywords instead of asking questions we've answered a THOUSAND times before. Or use Google. You'd be surprised at what you could learn using a little initiative.

I'll ask any question i want. don't like it? butt off.

I have also done as chohole stated and imported the .obj from Poser to Bryce...it definitely IS a PITA, having to search for and move all the texture files into one folder and going through each part on the figure, but sometimes very worth it! ;D
Say what you mean and mean what you say.

ROFLMAO! Sure it's a free Forum and you can ask any questions you want. But if someone takes the time to try and help you as Chohole did, don't turn around and complain that "That way is a pain in the A*S". If you do, just see how much help you will get in this Forum.

Moonflower to answer your simple question which somehow someone turned into a full story on an image.
yes it is the only plugin for importing poster files into bryce. you can do it with out the plugin if you know what you are doing.
@danamo if you care to read the statement that chohole made before hand, the one about rendering in layers. Moonflower replied to that one with the comment "That way is a pain in the A*S"
some advice for you danamo, before jumping down someones throat about something they posted. Read everything first.

I have opinions of my own -- strong
opinions -- but I don't always agree with them.

Monteplier? not Bismark?..dang..I fergit..;)
Well, it depends on the memory, I guess..last 2 pictures I did have an average of 10 characters, but it was touch and go towards the end..;)
The short answer is that in order to have the characters to export, you need Poser, yes (or Daz |Studio, which is free from Daz3d.com). You can use the .obj export in Poser to export with. Trick is getting the textures to go. You can do them manually (search down each texture directory, and point to the file), or use a program called 'Grouper', which, I think, is still available in Freestuff (maybe also at Morphography, I haven't checked lately). And if you get Daz |Studio, there's also a converter that gets loaded into Bryce that they offer. go to it..
