I have to transfer a female model (no animation) to an Engineering program called solid edge: Its reads such formats as: SAP, SPP, X_T, FAT, Parasolid, and DXF (which is the one I dont want to use)...any experience out here with this?

No experience but I did some experimenting. Solid Edge appears to be able to import .STL files. Avalon has a free converter (stl_util.zip) that will convert .OBJ to .STL format. I tried taking a Poser .OBJ fiile StaciLR.obj and converting to .STL - see result viewed in a 3D viewer. The geometry looks good but the .STL file has no material groups, just the one material. That may be the way the format works, I'm not familiar with it. I don't know how much luck you'll have with the other formats-never heard of them. There's also possibly IGES but again, I don't know about the textures, even if you find a converter. You might want to contact the folks that make the PolyTrans or Deep Exploration converters and ask about options. STL would be free if you can find a way to work around the textures. Not sure if DXF will be any better there."Democracy is a pathetic belief in the collective wisdom of individual ignorance." - H. L. Mencken
