i know, it's sooooooo sad!!! i luv cats and dogs. kemal and i are both allergic. i can be around them and it's not too bad. kemal's allergies are much worse. we both ADORE cats, and we've had them almost the entire time we've been married, but we decided no more. allergies suck!!! anyway, it's a fantastic entry although a sad one.

Eh? I thought this was one of those 'could have been' pictures, what with all those bars in the way of the cat.... Sorry, that was crass. Like the mono & the noise, really looks him look desolate & lonely.... We have a cat & dog shelter on the outskirts of the city who wonder why they are always full - yet charge nearly 50 ($75?) for you to take one of the pets... Education is the key, and funding for neutering. Lets face it, half of the people who adopt or get a pet on a whim can't afford to get them doctored - if a service was in place to make it cheap it would save so many unwanted animals. (",)

yep... they ought to make BC free too! would save the US gov't a bundle! :]

BC? eh? Why can't you Yanks ever speak English proper? (".)

birth control... kind of along the same lines of neutering... in fact i'm for neutering most males :] errr... well you know what i mean... nevermind

Now this makes me so angry!!! U said they were about to be killed if no one adopted them?? Who the fuck do they think they are to decide what creature should live or die?? This is murder, pure and simple!!! I can't believe this!!

Pascale, That is the issue. There are so many that if they have not been adopted in a certain amount of time they have to be put down to avoid severe over crowding. This group places the animals in foster homes and in kennels. They try harder than many groups to find homes for these little guys. If more people could open their hearts and homes then the problem would decline. If everyone would open their wallets then more could be spade or neutered and severely limit the problem. "...they have to be put down to avoid severe over crowding."!!! What about human beings??
zhounder posted Tue, 08 March 2005 at 6:04 PM
Actually there are some people that should get out of the get out of the gene pool!

LOL!! I like that!! :)

Some folks should get out of the gene pool, perhaps. I totally believe some people should get out having pets! Like having kids, a user manual does not come with it. Having a pet doesn't mean throwing a lump of food on the stoop and a bit of water. This is touching and very, very telling of a real problem much of what is the fault of faulty humans. Thanks for this entry I had missed seeing earlier. God Bless. Tom.
