Hello everybody. It has called my attention the fact that we don't have a FAQ for this forum. Do you think it's a good idea to have a FAQ? If so, maybe you could provide with some ideas (questions and answers) for it. I would be happy to add them as they appear. In the meantime I will look for some information that could be included in a FAQ. Thanks <---signature---> Free your Maya Opaque3D http://www.digital-opaque.net

The specs for creating full screen TV or DVD animations comes up fairly regularly. If you create a FAQ, they should definately be included,

It's not really a question, but how about some 3d animation tutorials? There's not much info out there, and when you do a search you mostly find modeling tutorials with the ocasional "ok, now make it move a little" thrown in.

As a matter of fact, tufif, the "Animation Alley" should open soon and it will discuss some stuff related to animation. As for the thread you recommend, Bobasaur. I am thinking that maybe instead of a FAQ that goes like: -question 1. -answer 1. -question 2. -answer 2. I could put it some sort of document where I mention a topic and link to threads or sections of this website where that topic is discussed. What would you think of that? <---signature---> Free your Maya Opaque3D http://www.digital-opaque.net

Part of me thinks that's great - the reader could benefit from the different views presented within the thread. On the other hand, It might take you a while to look up all the threads - assuming you didn't simply add to it over time. The nice part of a FAQ by itself is that it's focused - the reader wouldn't have to read through all the extra things in a thread if they didn't want to, and the entire thing could be printed out easily. I think I slightly prefer the "link to the threads" option a little better, but both ideas have positive aspects.

Hello. I just wanted to let you know that I've updated the FAQ. More to come as I find the appropiate threads :) tufif, do you happen to know where I could find that kind of information? <---signature---> nemirc Animation Forum
