hmm. looking at it again the one in the background looks sexually frustrated. I see that face so often, usually in the mirror...... (",)

It's a fantastic entry, Kort, and I'm glad you tackled this serious topic!!! Substance abuse leads to so many serious problems. You can lose your home & end up living on the streets. You can lose your job. You can lose your kids. You can lose everything, even your life. such an important topic. thanks!!!

Shee, that's not only a good point but a great point. With drugs you have no idea how you are going to react. When I was in training I was PA at a charity area HQ where one day we had a visit from a guy who did drugs when he was younger - you name it, he'd done it. He got cleaned up and spent his days going around charity centres warning kids off drugs. This was about 14 years after he'd got clean and he was in his early 40's. He was standing next to me drinking a cup of coffee when without warning he passed out and got himself a day in hospital.... and this was the after affects of abuse nearly a DECADE and A HALF after getting clean....
Also I'm very close to someone who at the start of last year tried cannabis with his then girlfriend and had a bit of a bad reaction to it. He ended up going to sleep and woke up in her arms after stopping breathing for about a minute and a half..... It caused a lot of questions for him personally and he still can't get over it.
Pro drugs? No, I don't think so.

ummm... when i think of it as crack then there's a real problem... when i think of it as pot then the social issue could be turned to the benefits of medical marijuana use & how smoking pot does not necessarily lead to harder drugs nor should it be so treated as such a crime... of course not with this photo which like you said kort, they're kids & peer pressure has a lot to do with it... would be interesting though to try & visualize the other side... hmmmm... not me personally, cuz i need every working brain cell i have left, lol :]

Funny, I never thought of it as crack or something else, because I knew what was in that pipe. It is so interesting the interpretations that can be made. I agree that there are two sides to it as cynlee says, I'm glad it is generating discussion. :]

A truly beautiful shot Kort and as I said before on ur previous upload of this one, I never considered cannabis as a problem! Maybe because I've been smoking Cannabis for many years (not anymore though) and it never led to anything else for me and always was such a cool and funny experience! I also tried a lots of different drugs, by simple curiosity and always did it only once (with a few exceptions, erm...) and it was never a problem to me either! I can see ur point here though, but u also have to think that it's self-inflicted and that each individual is responsible for what he/she does! I think people tend to always put responsability on other's when they're the ones who are doing it, no one put a gun in their head and forced them to take drugs! Know what I mean? Anyway, enough blablating, a great entry and a gorgeous shot!

Hey, I never said I was innocent in all this, heheh. ;^P I think it can be a problem if you let it. It takes a very strong person to control their "bad habits" and unfortunately I don't think most people are up to the task. I've seen people deal with it fine and others get lost in it...I'm not making any judgements eiher way.
