This months Challenge is a simple one due to time constraints. The Theme: Aquatic It's open to anything on or below the ocean. Maybe a real scene? Or maybe Atlantis? Jaws? The skies the limit...well the waters the limit:) Due Jan. 31st 2001 Good luck! GeorgeD

Modeled, animated and rendered in 3D Studio Max 3.1. Converted to .gif format using Adobe's Image Ready.

Scene done in bryce with poser and downloaded models. No touch ups - this is a raw render.

An older image but still a favorite if mine.

Great Job Guys, I'm working on something that I will hope to add to this collection. Not too far from finishing it so expect to see it with in the next week.

Mine is almost done as well. Just have to work on the terrain now. :)

The doctor says I have way too much blood in my caffeine system.

Temple Almost Complete...... I threw this together for this month's challenge. I thought I would do both above and below the sea. I hope that is within the rules.Scene done in Bryce4, with my own models, and a few DLed from sites on the web. Can't remember which ones, tho. :{)

Ok, so i'm not even sure this pic should be here but... i heard here that "the sky is the limit", so here it is... The original image can be found here in renderosity (better quality, and bigger, i didn't know if there was a kind of size limit to post image here.) Well, i hope you'll like it.

Did this last year, but what the heck. Rendered in Vue d'Esprit.

Those fish are so wonderful. What did you do them with? They look so real, yet..well, almost human around the eyes.

Varian posted Tue, 30 January 2001 at 9:34 PM

Hi Poppi, That image was rendered in Vue d'Esprit. The fish model (made by Zygote) comes with the program, complete with textures. The realism of the image is helped along with the lighting and also the use of depth of field. Glad you liked it. :)
