Has anyone ever mapped Posette or Victoria 3 to the new V3 textures? That would be so cool.

I use PropViewer by kawecki. Although it doesn't allow to paint directly onto figure, it's tiny and handy when I try to see how does my texture look like during the creation. PaintShop Pro 7 and PropViewer make better duo than PSP7 and Poser. Unfortunately, there's no zoom option, so any smaller, not-so-obvious texture flaws and mistakes can only be seen in Poser. What do you mean by "Victoria 3 mapped to new V3 textures" ? There is Posette remap to V2 textures, done by April of AprilsVanity.com. Link above. Edit: PropViewer here in Freestuff section :)Message edited on: 03/10/2005 05:52

Not sure if this will be any of use to you or not, as it's not quite what you want. But try the old freeware version of lithunwrap. http://files.seriouszone.com/download.php?fileid=198 use the havoc link to download. note: lith is an old programme and the programmer now has a commerical version (http://www.unwrap3d.com/) - for $49. and looking at the screenshost this seems to have the kind of feature you need.

Hi, V3->V3 is a typo... I meant V2->V3. There is so much cool stuff for V3 but it is too big for my machine... I would love to have CLOTHER etc. though which is V3 only... I would love to use V3 clothes characters too for that matter. PropViewer is exactly perfect. Thank you! P.S. Lith wouldn't open person type .obj on my WinXP But I am great now with PropViewer.

You can try PoseRay. In the preview/options tab you can reload all the textures with a single click. good luck, FlyerXodeathoflife posted Thu, 10 March 2005 at 8:37 PM

what you need to do is grab the painter3d Fix, it fixes the aquire menu. Then you can aquire your obj file, or a detailer.vtx Painter 3d fix is here http://www.sloan3d.com/painter3d/painter3d.zip♠Ω Poser eZine

But you have to realize that the painter3d has a very rudimentary UV Mapping ability.

Thank you odeathoflife. Is ther anyone who has written about how to use Painter3D for Poser? I could use some more help, namely to get the Poser .obj to display as matt white smooth rather than shiny grey faceted, and how to load the texture to the whole body at once rather than part by part. Big thank you for the fix.

I have Painter 3D around here somewhere, I haven't used it in so long because I have Deep Paint 3D. But if there is enough interest in tutorials maybe I can dig it out one of these days. 8-)

You know, something looks weird about that image. Is it my imagination, or is the texture rendering in reverse or upside down or something on the character? I'm reminded of why I put Painter 3D away, though, when odeathoflife mentioned the UV mapping.

Deecy... I'ld love your advise but I probably am the only person around here interested... I seem to be much more "income challenged" then most people around here. I guess I will make do with seam guides and PropViewer untill I can puzzel out the Painter3D. Definately the map is flipped.

hmmm thought that I had replied to this. If you export out of poser as a detailer mesh then the uvmapping is correct as it is intended.

Thanks... my only real problem is seeing what I'm doing with the silvery faceted display.
