"If they had worked on improving clouds and particle effects, there would still be people complain Vue is not a good modeler" Of course, Agiel, and don't get me wrong - I think Vue is great software, in fact, I think at what it does it is probably the best there is, overall. What you want to see improved depends very much on what you use it for. Personally, I use Vue only as a means to create believable renders of architectural designs. From that viewpoint, all manner of animation gizmo's as well as an ecosystem are really not that interesting. On the other hand, the addition of GI and GR were, which is why I didn't hesitate for a second to upgrade to V5. No doubt some very interesting things can be done with Ecosystem, and I look forward to seeing truly creative use of it, that is: it being used in function of a bigger idea rather than as an end in itself, which merely results in the barrage of "look what ecosystem can do" images that is now flooding the gallery.

For every ecosystem image that is posted it gives me new ideas of what I may be able to do later with the program. Each individual has a different and unique way of doing things and I like to see all the different ways. To me landscape and architecture go hand in hand. I think you will see more and more images using the ecosytem instead of less. Ecosystem is one the best features to be added to Vue and will be one the most used features, and this is only my opinion. :)

As a late comer to Vue 4 Pro and looking at new Ecosystem feature in V5I, I believe this is going be a big help to me. It looks like it much easlier to get realistic and complex scenes in Vue then before. I personally think for my image making this is a big deal for me and very happy that E-On added Ecosystem to it because I believe it will make a quite a difference.

I hope instead of struggling on how to get the scene to look realistic, I can concentrate on conposing and applying content to the scene.

I've looked at quite a number of these eco system pictures now and the more I look at them the less impressed and excited I get. Although the system is quite impressive, most of the stuff shown with truly lacks creativity. The only one image that I found impressive is czarnyrobert's one, but his images are always impressive. He's just a great artist and that's what it comes down too. Even though the eco system is impressive, if you don't have what it takes, your images still will not be great. The thing which annoys me most is all of these comments on the Eco pics in the gallery. Most of them obviously lack creativity, don't look to well and are pretty badly put together. Still every one shouts excellent, great image, beautiful scene, while they're really looking at something which is border line crap. My wife (she's not an artist, but enjoys art) cracked up when she read all of the comments on most of the images and wondered if these people are for real. She was very impressed with czarnyrobert image, but stated that most of the others looked like made by some very unskilled, not talented person pretending he/she's an artist. That may sound harsh, but I think she made the correct assesment. Of course I do understand the excitement, but once the hype settles a bit, I wonder how many people regret spending so much money on V5I only to realize that their images still don't look as good as those of others. Please don't let the Vue gallery become another polluted poser like gallery. Most of the images there lack skill and creativity big time.... o wow it's another nude, excellent rating. The Vue gallery of these last days starts to look like a oh wow another thousand eco items created in a few minutes gallery. excellent rating. I always was under the impression that the Vue images were really appreciatted only if they show skill and workmanship, but I guess I was wrong. I really hope this hype dies down soon and we'll see some excellent V5I images in the gallery, instead of all this whatever. Well, I'll be avoiding the gallery for a while until the dust settles a bit again and artists rise up once again.

Artwork and 3DToons items, create the perfect place for you toon and other figures!

Due to the childish TOS changes, I'm not allowed to link to my other products outside of Rendo anymore :(

Food for thought.....

aeilkema, I seen and used that "excellent" statement.. Not complete understanding it myself. To me I think it just some unwritten protocal of given respect to artist creation. I have yet to understand what gets a picture a lot comments. Personally I would like know what I am doing wrong so I can improve my skills. Also I believe a lot comments are because of fact that Artist is on someones favorite list. I agree with your comment on czarnyrobert, his images especially the "Dead City" attracted me to Vue months before I actually purchase it.

"I always was under the impression that the Vue images were really appreciatted only if they show skill and workmanship"... Sorry, but for me a piece of art has to convey a message, a perspective: I could not care less if the author has spended 2 weeks or 2 hours making it, if it is only an empty show-off of button-pushing skill. IMHO Renderosity isn't a forum of technical engineers that gloats on how realistic is their new render of a 3" steel bolt, bathed in faked radiosity and illuminated with an HDRI-simulating dome... Sure, a serious artist knows how to tweak his tools to the better extent, but this is only the starting point.
