Hello everyone Im just new here so im not really sure if im putting this post in the right spot. I hope i am as i dont want to appear as im being disrespectful and not follow rules of the forum. I was sent a picture in my email(which i cant attach as the image is too big and it seem to lose the affects when i reduce the size of the file). But what the picture has is sparkling glitter animation on it. It looks really good. Would love to learn how i add this to a picture. Any help that you can give me will be really appreciated. I have only just got the bug for doing all this graphic work and would love to learn as much as i can. Thanks loscann

Have the sender of the pic give you the URL (web address) of the image he sent you. You need to be careful. You can't just copy and paste. You'll get a serious spanking here if you do....copyrights.

What graphics program are you using? With Photoshop or PSP you do it with the noise filter and altering the noise in the animation.

I will try and get that it was just an image that a friend sent me and they cant remember where they got it. I dont copy ppls stuff without there permission. I am here to learn from what i have seen some very talented ppl, not steal there work. I have full respect for artist and there work.

I use photostudio most but i do have photoshop and coral draw v12. I havent used any of them much though.

Hi loscann, Welcome to Renderosity :) As to the sparkle image - I would suspect that it is a Java-script :) TerraDreamer has very sound advice, as to asking the sender about the creation of the image, and to please be very careful of accepting images from anyone that you do not know. Kind of like "Don't take candy from strangers" If you have any questions as to the Renderosity Community, please do not hesitate to contact any of the Mods, Coords, or Admins. Dee-Marie

Attached Link: http://javascript.internet.com/

my bad fingers - need more coffee this morning :) The correct spelling is javascript [which is not to be confused with Java] creating random moving images within an image - as in moving water, or falling snow, is only a small function of javascripting - however, for artists - it can be a fun toy to play with :) Above is a link to one of the popular javascripting sites. Without viewing the image you are wanting to re-create - I have no idea of exactly what you are looking for, but I suspect it may fall within one of the javascripts. Have fun! Dee-Marie

If it's in an image most likely it's animation. Do a search for Paint Shop Pro tutorials and you should find it. They're easily adaptable to Photoshop for the most part. If it's what I think it is, a large psp group I lurk in just sent through a bunch of images with the sparkle animation that was a recent tutorial.
