Its beautiful, the balloon, the sky, the patchwork ground, the POV, the idea, the .... ok I'll stop. You get the idea that I love it!

Nice work :D Would you like to ride In my beautiful balloon Would you like to ride In my beautiful balloon We could float Among the stars Together, You and I For we can fly, We can fly Up, up and away My beautiful, My beautiful balloon The world's a nicer place In my beautiful balloon It wears a nicer face In my beautiful balloon We can sing a song And sail along The silver sky For we can fly We can fly Up, up and away My beautiful, My beautiful balloon Suspended under A twilight canopy We'll search the clouds For a star to guide us If by some chance You find yourself loving me We'll find a cloud to hide us We'll keep the moon beside us Love is waiting there In my beautiful balloon Way up in the air In my beautiful balloon If you'll hold my hand We'll chase your dream Across the sky For we can fly We can fly Up, up and away My beautiful, My beautiful balloon

This is brilliant!

Craft is very well done. The background patchwork farming land looks a bit too "ambient" I think. But I like that rooftop POV :)

Love the patchwork on the blimp. Great image.

ROFLMAO@Raz, brought back some memories with that song. Even had me singing along with it. Now I cant get the words out of my head and the neighbors want to break my door in.

Bryster8P besides, I stitch a better quilt.

LOLGG, maybe I should tie some bombs over the side also together with the sacks and drop them over my fellow flying competitors as I fly over them. How dastardly! 8)

Thanks everyone for the comments. Flak, thanks for picking that up. I had played around with the ambience looking to see how the haze would react with the texture. I guess something else must have caught my attention because I forgot all about it and never reset it back to zero. Anyway, it gave me an excuse to go back and tweak a few things. Only problem now is that I have already submitted it to the challenge forum. I wonder if I can upload the tweaked image?

Ang25 ( ) posted Fri, 18 March 2005 at 9:14 AM

Of course you can upload the tweaked version :-D However, if I'd known you'd be tweaking it, I would have mentioned that you need a cat in that window ;) Hugs

Rayraz ( ) posted Fri, 18 March 2005 at 1:03 PM

hehe, that song is the 1st thing that came to mind when I saw the image :) Now that you're tweaking it though, I think you put the roof's texture upside down! The shadows are now at the top of the tiles and since rooftiles usually overlap at the bottom (to keep the water out) I'd expect the shadows should not be at the top but at the bottom ;)

I dunno, the tiles look right to me, mostly because they get weathered more on the tips.

Rayraz ( ) posted Fri, 18 March 2005 at 1:25 PM

but the shadows look blurrier at the top then at the bottom, while you would expect them to look more blurry at the bottom?
