I had to restore my hard drive to factory state recently and re-install all of my software. After I installed Poser I installed the 4.0.2 update. About 3 weeks later I installed the 4.0.3 update. Now, when I try to use the hierarchy editor the font looks funky - big, blocky letters that run into one another. Also, my figures always look like white marble statues even if they have texture maps assigned to them. They look okay once they are rendered, but I thought they appeared as low-resolution mapped figures before all this happened. See attached image. BTW - I'm a new member. Hi everyone! Gem

I think I've heard this one somewhere before. I believe, but don't take my word for it:) That if you change your colour settings to 32bit and back to 16 (or vice versa) that it might solve it. It's only a vague recollection though.

Also, if you ever updated your video card drivers, then you've lost the newest drivers when you restored the HD. Old drivers cause problems like this, and sometimes new beta drivers too... (Like the open gl I just installed a few weeks ago, now if i scroll text, it becomes corrupted and I have to minimize then restore the window I'm working in grrrrr...

Another one I've seen .. is as simple as the font size selection in display (windows 95/2000). You might want to check that too.

The doctor says I have way too much blood in my caffeine system.

Okay, I tried both pdblakes' and RimRunner's suggestions - no go. I never messed with the drivers. Any other suggestions?
