Set Smooth Poligons off in render settings .Make sure to use the Poser Service Release 3 or 4 because the render- engine ignore this setting in earlier Releases.

Are you selecting the option in the P4 renders to "Ignore Shader Trees"? If so... then is it a possibility that there is an ambient colour other than black being used. Even with an ambient value of zero, the Poser 4 render engine will render in accordance with the ambient colour if you have selected the option to Ignore Shader Trees.

The problem does not come from the firefly, nor Poser but from the geometry of your cell. It is not "smooth" friendly. Select these objects go to their properties and uncheck the "smooth" option. You could also uncheck the "smooth"option in your render settings but I don't recommend you to do so: you'll loose the smart smooth shape of your character... OK? :)
