Guess I will get flamed for commenting but I agree with comment 23 of that link by Andy. :)

lol, this is a private site so they can decide whatever they want to.....so I guess its pretty useless to discuss a decision that surely has been debated by the admins before ;)....just my two cents

So? Idle thoughts here...as far as I can see here, this image that I posted a while back would be in violation of the new TOS? http://www.renderosity.com/viewed.ez?galleryid=864443&Start=1&Artist=spider1313&ByArtist=Yes And if so, although I believe that there is no reason whatsoever for anything even close to child porn being posted, I have to wonder where the harm lies in something like this bit of fun?

like steve i'm a bit worried about some of my images, i do quite a few fairy scenes, and although they are clothed it seems some of my scenes sail a bit close to the wind so to speak ..looking at steves image ..i think if he's worried about that one then quite a few of us should be worried too..do we have to delete fairy scenes out of our galleries and do we completely ignore the mill kids and similar stuff such as thorneworks stuff..i'm really confused about this..my first love is landscapes but doing fairy scenes and stuff helped me to learn poser and the two progs go together really well..it seems to me ..that although kiddie porn and stuff is a very serious matter and one i abhor more than murder..are we overeacting or is it really as serious as you say..i guess i or all of us need guidance on this very serious issue..agiel could you go through my gallery and tell me what wants deleting then i could use that as a yardstick for furthur images..sorry to bother you but i'm really confused about this issue and i would hate to upset anyone with my images..thoughts like this issue never entered my head in the making of them,so a little help would be very much appreciated..regards..

Personally, I think this whole thing is pretty sad. I do a lot of faeries as well, although they have clothes on (at least the young ones), but according to one of the Poser forum cooordinators, this includes littel boys at the beach...they must have their chests covered!! Isn't that going a bit far? I'm hoping this TOS change will be reviewed and refined so an infant, like you'd see in a Christian madonna image, wouldn't have to have shorts and a tee shirt on. Pretty pathetic commentary on today's society, I suppose.

Look at it from the bright side, the new TOS could give you some ideas for renders that demonstrates how absurde it is!
I allready have ideas for at least five images...opps now they are six... EDIT: ..and up pops another one..now i got seven...

Davy - I understand the concerns. We had long discussions about that before announcing the change in TOS. The basic criterion is ' underage + nudity '. I looked t your images - most of them have faeries that are either dressed, or that do not look underage to me. The only one I found people could object to is 'meeting place', as the character on the right has clothes only covering small areas, making it look more naked than dressed. Christie - I will look at your gallery in a while. The sad thing is that a single pedophile image going unnoticed could get the whole site in legal trouble. The only defence to that unfortunately is to have this kind of very broad policy. I too hope the TOS will be revised for 'boys at the beach' or 'infants'.madasatadpole posted Wed, 23 March 2005 at 3:27 PM
ok agiel i'll remove this image..thanks for getting back to me so promptly...you can remove your link now as it probably wont work now i've removed it..would hate to offend anybody with my work..isnt it funny how times change..and what a sad reflection on the times we now live in..wouldnt it be funny if we went to a beach one day and saw everybody sweating away fully clothed.well not so funny methinks..anyhows thanks again agiel ..guess its dragons and landscapes from now on..regards(davy)

I can't edit the link unfortunately. You can do faeries - just keep them adult looking or clothed :) And there was a time, not so long ago, when people where fully clothed at the beach if you think about it...
