I have an irregular shape cut from a 1 sided square using a transparency mask, but now you can faintly see the cutaway area. Has anyone else had this problem?

Yup, make sure you turn OFF any highlight and specular color (make 'em BLACK and a value of 0 (zero)) cheers, dr geep ;=]

P.S. Make sure you use (total) BLACK and not dark grey for areas that you want transparent ... ... and ... ... (total) WHITE and not light grey for areas that you want opaque, i.e., visible. Shades of grey will cause partial transparency. ;=]

bang on the button! You're the Man (or women). The Mask was very very dark grey. Scratches head, I was sure it was black. Old age setting in;-) Thanks!
