On poser 6 I wonder if the upgrade to poser 5 has all the stuff that the full ver has as to figures etc. I'm waiting for my full version boxed set to come to my house. I was just wondering cause will the full ver over write your old ver of poser 5 and having taken the time to set up files and such in poser 5 I kind of like the idea of the upgrade. besides it's a hell of a lot smaller than the full ver.

I bought the Poser 5/ Poser 6 special (downloadable version, tho) and Poser 6 installed in it's own directory, not over the top of Poser 5. So I have both versions on my PC now. The Poser 6 version was labelled (at least on the download page) as an Upgrade, but in reality it appears to be a full version. As far as i know (I might be wrong about this tho) some of the content will only be included in the SE version and won't in the normal full version (such as the winter queen stuff).

I too upgraded but are not sure what Poser 6 fully comes with. You get 3 different install opsions and one of them are with previos poser contens stuff. I didn't choose that because I already got Poser 5 installed, I choose the install with only new stuff. Winter Queen is a stand alone installation.

since you got the upgrade did you have to have version 5 installed before 6 would install....(I know it didn't install on top of 5, but I'm wondering if it checks for an earlier version..meaning you have to have another version installed)...thanks!

No Poser 6 is a standalone as far as I can see, I didn't see it look for Poser 5 at all and I don't have them installed on the same harddisk either. I think Poser 6 upgrade is the same as the full version, you just get it cheaper if you upgrade.
I could be wrong about the last part. * And I can uninstall Poser 5 now if I wanted to

An upgrade is the same as the full version except is is sold at a less expensive price as a reward for loyal customers.
Poser 6 will install in it's own directory and will not overwrite Poser5.
This is done exactly the same as installing Poser5 when you already had Poser4 installed. (see graphic)
The Winter Queen package contains add-ons for Jessie.
I believe the above info is correct. If not, I am sure some kind soul will come along and correct me.

True geep. And you don't have to install it like that, you can choose to install it where you want
