This is my first post so bear with me. I have a picture done in Bryce, but it takes so long to render at the res I want I have given up on rendering it. Does it save time if you render to disk instead of rendering on screen? I hope that is clear enough to help. I started it one time and after 51 hours I had to click stop and it didn't seem very close to the end.

yes, rendering to disk is faster. I did a 9000x6000 poster size for print in about 20-25 mins, with an athelon 600. Its all in the processor! The final print size is 30"x20". the file is 140mb (i think thats what it was) and its at 300 dpi for printing.

Ok now this makes me ask another question? How do you adjust the DPI? I have never found that option anywhere, thanks for the responce.
