Hello I am looking to purchase Pine trees and Redwoods to use within the echo system of Vue 5 does anyone know where to go and buy this or maybe even for free I don't care I just need them.

Yes, the free stuff section does have a few trees in it. You can also check out Onyx Tree Pro for some really realistic trees and plants. It's not cheap, but the trees are of far better quality.

I agree about Onyxtree pro i got the suite myself,but the trees are so heavy in polygons you might want to stick with the free stuff gallery.

E-On also has some trees you can download for free and they also sell some. Not sure if you could find what you want.

Dont get me wrong im not downing Onyx,i am just having trouble with there products,and i am just having issues on finding tutorials and such.Perhaps i misspoke:P The documentation i got with the software is a bit to "techsaavy" for my blood.I havent been able to find any tuts over there is all.I use 2 versions of poser have used Bryce in the past and 2 versions of Vue so far and Onyx is to complex for me to grasp,go figure.I am having this issue for one and cant get over it.I rendered a simple model of a broadleaf tree and as you see this is as close to "realism" as i cant get with the prog in Vue.I just thought it would be better and i am sure it can if i can grasp the whole thing.For the money i paid for the suite i was expecting a bit more and am sure it can do more,it is just kicking my ass.As you see the boughs and branches dont look to well and the leaves are transparent.Any suggestions or directions anyone can point me in?

Ah, ok, I thought you were having problems with the program itself. :) The manuals can be a bit dry. When I first got the program, I glanced at the manuals and then just started playing around with the parameters to see what everything did, only referring to the manual when I couldn't figure out what something was. Like any program, it just takes some time to learn all the ins and outs. There is an ENORMOUS amount of tweaking you can do with each element of the trees, and it will take some time to get a good handle on all the intricacies. When you do, you can create any kind of tree imaginable, and then some. I've used Onyx Tree Pro to make everything from grass to pine cones to bushes to ferns to a bamboo fishing pole to a bonsai pine tree in it's own pot. Not to mention some just plain weird stuff. ;) I don't know of any tutorials, but the best advise I can give to you would be to load one of the presets and and change the parameters one at a time, and watch what effect it has. Yeah, I know that doesn't sound like much fun, (it was for me, but I'm weird that way ;) ) but after a little while you'll get the hang of how the program works. Believe me, it will be well worth the time. "As you see the boughs and branches don't look to well" Try changing the curving, angle and twist parameters a little, that will make them less stiff and more natural looking. The Branches and twigs do look a bit stiff, but actually I think the boughs look fine, it really just depends on what type of tree you want. I'm afraid I can't help you with the Vue part, I don't own it. Coldrake
