I'm not commenting so much on other works because I'm having a hell of a job typing. I had a slight accident a couple of weeks ago which left me with almost no sensation in my left hand. All of which means typing is a major effort at the moment, which is why most people beat me to the punch when it comes to replies. So, I may not be commenting too much on your pix; no dis, it's just damn hard work. Ain't that I don't like you, it's just very hard for me to type. Good news is I'll get better soon. Bad news is I can't play me guitars. :( So, please be patient wid me. :) Spanx babies.

Oh my, get better soon, we know what it is like to be well out of sorts for the norm. Really, we are thinking of you and will most definately be patient. Sharen :-)

Sorry to hear about the hand, Sam. Tell you what. I'll thrash out a couple of Bowie numbers on the guitar for you. The Bewlay Brothers and Rock 'n' Roll suicide are always good for a blast. And I never go more than a few weeks without a rousing rendering ('scuse the pun) of Jean Genie. (I do believe I played it yesterday, now that I think about it - I tend to pick the guitar up and play for several hours before I rememeber to get back to work) I'll think of you while I'm frightening the cows and chickens outside. LOL. mac

"being how rightside brained folks like us (artists/musicians/both) have to do those things, string yer guitar up-side-down and go "hendrix" .." Haha, that reminds me of when I was a teenager and my cousin was trying to teach me the guitar. I'm right handed, but tend to do many things as a lefty. My cousin is right handed. I just couldn't manage to move my fingers around the cords with my left hand, so he turned the guitar upside down so I could manage the cords with my right hand and pluck upwards with my left, lol To the original poster, take your time to recover and don't rush the process. Your health is way more important.

Thanks, gang. mac, I'll join you for a jam on The Jean Genie any time you like. I have an idea that it can segue nicely into Satisfaction. :)

A few years ago I had my hand shattered. Doctors told me I would never play again. I proved them wrong. I do have to work on the stretch on my Strat every day or I would lose it, but I have no problems with my 72 Les Paul. Sometimes a rest is as good as a practice.

Definitely take it easy, bro! A broken finger on my fretting hand kept me out of jamming for nearly 6 months. Quite a bummer it was! Used to play an '83 Strat through a Randall halfstack on stage. Now it's an Aria Pro II through Revalver on my Poser computer in my bedroom. Poor lil' Vicky HATES distortion... it makes her clothes fall off ;O) Get well SOON!

"it makes her clothes fall off" That was the effect I hoped for when I started playing guitar. 35 years later, I'm still trying. :) Hope you're soon better, Sam. If not, think of Django Reinhardt. :D
