Howdy all, The above eye is done with a single procedural shader applied to a sphere. It's available now in the Carrara Free Stuff section now. "So what!" you say. "But wait" I say. You can customize any of the color, size and blending parameters with a couple clicks of your mouse. But wait, there's more: It's also resolution independent which means you can zoom in as close as you want in a final render without any worry of pixelation in the image. It REQUIRES the FREE digital shader tools available from Eric Winemiller at digitalcarversguild.com. (Thanks Eric!) Have fun with it. Mark BTW, when are there going to be some additional contributors to the Free Stuff section? I feel kinda stupid being virtually the only one who has stuff up there....

Thanks Mark I can definetly use this, and if I ever get good enough maybe I'll contribute something. Now if I can just edit this enough to get a filmy white cover it will be perfect for the model I'm working on.

I, for one, am very appreciative of the posts to Carrara free stuff, and I swear I would contribute if I ever had the time to make anything worthy of note. Work pulls me in other directions constantly...and I am not free to post work-related stuff here. I haven't even posted to the gallery since I've been a member here... sigh. Despite this I'm constantly impressed and learning new things from all who do manage to post here, so please keep it up! --

Mark, Excellent shader. I would have never thought to use the Julia set for the veins, but it looks great! Eric Winemiller Digital Carvers Guild Freeware and commercial 3D extensions http://digitalcarversguild.com

Thanks Mark, very unique shader. I'm off to a trade show for the next week but I'll try to upload something when I get back (if I can get it to work).
