Cath, I would never have guessed you as a Star Wars fan :) The images look great. Is there a way to control how far your shadows extend when combining IBL/AO and shadow catcher as you shadows look different in between your preview and your render... Jeremy

see here the close up of the render. For sort shadows as on sand ground I will use here a fragment of a terrain to catch the shadows, this way we get a nice not flat visual deep soft shadows.

So is Shadow incorporated into Poser 6 application? Sharen
Mec4D posted Sat, 26 March 2005 at 7:44 AM
Hi Sharen, yes... Poser is used more and more for tests previews and short animation for documentaries.. before in Poser5 we used the shadow catcher node created by stewer, now in Poser6 is a standard new feature as a material surface option and that is great! shadow catcher is mostly used for 2D+3D compositions and spare the Photoshop work + using the Image Based Lighting with Ambient Occlusion finish for you the work automatic.. I really Love it! Cath

That's a great explanation of how to make shadow catching work, many thanks. And yes, a very nice way to present it, too :-)

Mec4D posted Sat, 26 March 2005 at 2:00 PM
Thanks Aureeanna :) I have to add some little work to the hands and I will create new cr2 also today to add more materials to the casual james and if you all love the free texture character then nothing stay on the way for the high res. full body James textures as well. Cath
