Hi, I just downloaded P6 and was thinking of installing all my stuff all over again and I wonder if I can have a separate A3, M3, V3 folder and so on..... I do think I read somwhere that DAZ people need to be installed in the main P6 Runtime. Any suggestions?

There's a thread in the forums at DAZ (don't have the link ready) about using multiple runtimes. You don't have to install the DAZ people in the main runtime. You might have to copy the !DAZ folder over to the main runtime though. That's the short of it. So yes, you can have separate runtimes for your figures.

I've set up different runtimes for Gen3 females, Gen3 males, Hair, animals, locations, props, etc. Works well. You can also re-group files into nested folders within them. Such as ...libraries/pose/MATposes. By creating these subdirectories you can make life so much easier when accessing large pose collections etc.

I found the tut at DAZ and for P you can install all DAZ people in different folders without any trouble :-)

Quick question about sub - folders. So I can make subfolders in Runtime/libraries/pose for MATS and Poses? I could move all my MATS into one folder and my Poses into another folder in the Pose folder? That would make things easier for me to find stuff....

Exactly. I separated the poses for V3 into INJ/REM, MAT, MAT Clothing and Pose subfolders. Same for all other characters. And in the MAT and MAT Clothing subfolders I made subfolders for different merchants. Made a subfolder for Creatures, Environments and Interiors too. Within Environments I made subfolders for Danie and Marforno products, DNA Microcosm products, Richabri products, actually, for just about every merchant. Same for Interiors and Creatures. And I did the same for figure and prop libraries. This organisation definitely helps me to find the right item and the right (MAT) pose a lot faster. The subfolder feature (introduced in P5) is incredibly useful.

Oh that's great, that's the type to folder system I was wanting to do, thanks for letting me know.
