I've gotten an inspiration (a very original inspiration)......Victoria in a temple, wearing a helmet.......carrying a sword.........a Latchworm has dropped off of the ceiling, and down the back of her neck.........the Latchworm has gotten inside of her armor.........

I wonder what Victoria would do under those circumstances?

Does anybody remember an old Hammer Films American International Picture "The Tingler" starring Vincent Price? There may be fan sites and image albums of that film on the net somewhere.Anyway - what you just described reminds me of that film.

Mugsey posted Tue, 29 March 2005 at 12:22 AM

Not verbatum - just that in the film they pull a "tingler" off of this girl's spine - it was a creature kinda like this one that lived off of human fear.It was a wierd flick.

Mugsey posted Tue, 29 March 2005 at 12:28 AM

Here's the DVD promo for the movie "The Tingler" starring Vincent Price - You've gotta see it - it's one of the best "B" movies around!

XENOPHONZ posted Tue, 29 March 2005 at 12:43 AM

Yes, I am familiar with "The Tingler".

I've also heard that at original showings of the film (many years ago) they rigged up a few of the theater seats so as to give certain girls in the audience a mild electric shock during critical scenes.

Oh, those were the days...........a little before my time........but those were the days............

Here's a shot from "The Tingler" where they pull it off of the girls spine while she's unconcious - it was the fifties so all you saw was a silouette behind a medical curtain. EEEEEWWWWWWWW!

I like this beastie, so here's my contribution. It's an EasyPose cr2 for Mr Latch Worm. It includes ERC control of all those legs, which should help if you want to animate this little guy walking. Both P4 and P5 versions are included. The P5 one comes with P5 shaders (shown above).

Once I get going on shaders, I just can't stop so here's an alternative carapace shader.

Thanks BT, Mugsey and Cath!! He's a very cool critter. And Cath, do feel free to include the new cr2 in the final package with the textures and the UV mapped mesh and everything. I really like the idea of the whole lot being together in one package so users don't have to get a bit here and a bit there.

If anybody wants to host the latch worm and all other accessory packages - as they become available - that go with it on their own sites for free download, and if it's ok with the other authors - then you can do that because the model itself is cleared for FREE distribution (No downloads for a registration fee).Just thought I'de let you guys know that.
