Www.flamingpear.com has a water plug-in called Flood. I don't know if it'll simulate waterfalls and rain but it will create a cool water effect with proper reflections.

I picked up flood recently and it will turn anything into a Bryce-looking scene. As far as water. You can control turbulence, ripples, etc. You should be able to select it to certain areas for building things like mirrors. I can highly recommend the Flaming Pear sets; Blade Pro and Designer Sextet. Great for textures. carl, u send my stuff?I just got alot more things.
