To any of you who have gotten SeaVue and have VInfinite and noticed that it didn't work right....there's a fix. I don't have VI yet so there was no way for me to tell. But jje went through it and discovered the cure... Put SeaView:Materials into [V5i]...:Materials and rename it SeaVue. Put SeaView:Objects into [V5i]...:Objects and rename it SeaVue. Put Textures and Wavemaps into the root V5i. Everything should be alright after that.... Monsoon

Many thanks. I have bought it but haven't used it yet - too busy playing with V5I and waiting for Poser 6! The fix will be useful come the weekend though :-)

I have V5I and it works fine for me, thought I haven't used the textures or wavemaps, but I put them in the root dir anyway :) V5 (both versions) automatically tries to load and save items from and to My Documents/E-On so that's where I put them rather than in Program Files. I have 3 folders in there - Vue 5 D'Esprit, Vue 5 Infinite and one I created called 'Common Files' for use with all versions of Vue installed on my system. Hope this info helps

I think this is more a Mac problem more or less. I had these problems with your Earthenware package as well. And not only in Infinite. I simply opened all materials in 4 Pro finally, reconnected the bitmaps (as asked from Vue) and saved the materials again with bitmaps included. Tableau, problem solved. Ok, lazy as i was i transfered the whole package to a PC with a similar file structure as your PC has (C drive), opened the materials there (attach them to a dummy object) and resave them as discribed. This is not a problem with only your packages, other materials and models does have that too. It has to do with fixed pathnames to the bitmaps. PCs i guess and especially Macs that have other names for their disks run into a problem.
