Image: Night Palms I was hoping this would be the theme, so I took some shots last night at a college I attend for web design. This was pretty much a straight shot. C8080 normal settings on a tripod. I don't remember if I used a flash, I think I just used the available lighting. Comments, tips and advice are welcome. I wish I had a fisheye lens for this scene, I think it would have had more impact.

oH WOW!! What a great shot Kort!! I'm impressed at how clear this is! Especially if u didn't use a flash! But u can't remember so we'll never know, u silly! :P And what's a "fisheye" lens??

cynlee posted Fri, 01 April 2005 at 4:04 PM

gives it that distorted spherical look...

TwoPynts posted Fri, 01 April 2005 at 4:22 PM

It captures a wider angle, but in doing so does distort things a bit. There was just too much here, I couldn't get it all. :( I do remember, just nothing special was done. It believe the camera auto measured for the lighiting, I had it set to ISO 100. I don't think I used a flash. :)

If you look at the EXIF info of the original file it will tell you if the flash fired or not ;) Nice shot

DUDE!!!
Palm trees..... and it's going to ~!@#$%^&* snow here again. Good shot!! As for the distortion from the wide angle lens- it kinda works the right way with this photo!
