Hi, Sorry if this look silly, but I can not get colors in the opengl! I can get them in the normal render. Please tell me if you need to setup any thing to get thet? thanks

You need to switch to Textured preview. Just click on the last icon in the Style Bar (as indicated).

And for P6, you should be able to set your opengl for quality without slowdown or issue.

Way too many people take way too many things way too seriously.

I had this same confusion. I went out and bought a Radeon X700 video card hoping to fix my preview render problem. It worked the same as the older Radeon I had. Thanks for the clarification. A follow up question... How can I get hair to render in the openGL preview?? All I see is the mesh of Koz hair just like it was not rendered at all. I thought I saw a preview render posted that had hair rendered like the firefly render but slightly discolored. Any comments will be appreciated. So far I am not seeing much use for the openGL preview... Thanks, Steve

First Thanks to all that helped me. Second, I got the same hair problem, but I got over it! You need to select the hair and check the "Figure Style" make sure it is using the Document Style. Then also check the "Element Style" make sure it is using the "Figure Style" and render away! Adel
