I have just installed Poser 6. When I open a scene (PZ3) file created with P5, I'm shown a "file not found" error dialog box for each of *.OBJ files used in the scene. P6 lets me navigate into P5's RuntimeGeometries folder and identify the missing OBJ file, one after another, before finally opening the scene. I found the same problem when I upgraded from P4 to P5. The solution I found was to copy the missing OBJs in the P4 Geometries folder to the P5 Geometries folder. My P5 Geometries folder is now 4.5GB, and it would be difficult to select just the OBJ files used in all of the scenes I've created over the last two years. Is copying the entire folder tree into P6 the only practical solution? Is there a utility like Correct Reference that can redirect references for scene files when upgrading Poser? Thanks, Richard

You need to to tell P6 where your P5 Runtime is. See geep's tutorial on how to do it. You'll also want to link in any other external Runtimes you used with P5.Message edited on: 04/02/2005 13:58
