Ok, so I have vue 5 plain old original flavor and mover 5. All I want to do is render across platforms (ibm and mac)... what do I need to get this function?!? Thanks.

Nothing more. There should be the Rendercow installation on your original CDs. You have to install those on your machine(s) and have a network of course.
One day your ship comes in - but you're at the airport.

Well wabe, not so sure of that. I think Vue 5 Esprit only renders on single platforms networks. Hybrid network rendering is an Infinite feature (or Vue 4 Pro). Cheers.originalplaid posted Mon, 04 April 2005 at 5:37 AM
yea after i bought it and in the last page of the manual is where it says it's not cross platform. simply doesn't work. used the rendercow that came with the windows version of the vue demo and it refused to update that machine and go. i think they should have made it more clear - even this forum tought it would probably work with just mover 5. now i wish they would just say give me x amount of money and your mover will do what it wants. i look at that upgrade list and get a headache trying to figure out what to do. thanks
