Seeing Tedz original POV for his mode of transport reminds me of why I cannot show a larger picture of mine. A couple of weeks ago I was on my way to see a rather posh relative. Making good headway down the country road between Oxford and Cheltenham at a little more than the legal speed limit on a fine sunny day, the road crosses the Cotswold hills through some stunning countryside . Passing a copse of trees a pheasant wandered into the road to watch my progress., much too late to brake or serve. Thump and a cloud of feathers ! I didnt stop there seemed no point . I passed through the lovely market town of Cheltenham on a Saturday morning crowded with shoppers and maybe it was my imagination but people were looking at my car in a curious way. I arrived at the said relative and decided to look at the front of my car to see if there was much damage. My car had a new emblem - that of the pheasants arse. It was sticking out of the front grill! I gave it a tentative kick and a headless body dropped out onto the drive. Struck with disbelieve I wondered what to do standing on the driveway of this huge house in a very genteel neighbourhood. I looked round for some bushes or something, but these people have big driveways of antique cobbles all nicely swept and maintained. I panicked and kicked the headless body under the car and carried on with my visit. All the way home that evening I couldnt help but hope that some cat or fox had come and retrieved the body or my relatives are going to think they have been visited by Satanists in the night who have left a headless bird outside their front door. :o

Well, I have driven many cars in my life. My first was a converted Toyota Corrolla station wagon that looked like a mini-hearse, my first real car--an 85 Honda Accord hatchback, a 91 white hatchback Corsica, and then what you see here. Until just about 2 years ago, I drove the blue 97 Buick Century you see at the top left. It was my grandmother's and quite posh after the Corsica. I had to beef it up a bit with reflective window tinting and 17 rims and wider sport tires. It actually looked quite nice. In the garage you see my wife's 2002 Golf which she will soon be selling to her Dad. We just got an 05 Chrysler Town and Country to lug the kiddies and groceries around, so she doesn't get to use her Golf much any more...though she loves it. She convinced me to get rid of the Buick so I gave it to her folks.
That brings us to my car, the black 03 Passat. It is my first new car and I love it. It has the 1.8T and is a manual. Lots of fun! The middle shot shows it brand new, and the lower one was taken last week. It now has tinted windows and I got new hubcaps after one of the stock ones flew off in traffic. :( I'd like to get larger rims one day, but I'll wait until these tires are spent. I can get 36 MPG when taking it really easy, so it is quite economical. But I almost never get that...wonder why.... ;o]

Tetz...you are your own man, no doubt!! No implications...this post of mine, as you might know, comes from redneck country...though I am not redneck by any means. You might not need a truck to show your wheels or to carry your load. All is relevant. hummm..... Tom. hehehe...yikes!
