Just got P6..
I'm trying out a bunch of stuff, but am running into some issues. One is black spots appearing but I think I saw a possible workaround of scaling everything up to 1000%. I'll try it.
Beyond that, though, I'd like to know if there's a way to rotate an IBL light, or if it's strictly in-place based on the original image map. The backlighting here is Photoshopped but I'd like to be able to do that within Poser.
Next, I have a background image I'd like to use, but can't seem to get it to scale to fill the whole background.
Next.. How do you get accessories, such as Jessi's necklace here, to conform realistically?

Finally - I'm having intermittent crashing problems, mostly hangs during rendering. I'm also having a weird issue where the model's hair takes on the color shader I set for the background....?
Any help appreicated!

This is not a criticism...I'm just curious. There are two black dots with surrounding swelling at the base of the male figure's neck that almost look like a vampire missed the target vein. Is that typical of this figure or something that is meant to be there? Or are those the black spots to which you referred at the beginning of your message? My Poser 6 is still somewhere between here and there, so I can't speculate on the answers to other questions.

Black spots also can come from using displacement maps. Something to do with the minimum displacement bounds setting. I don't have P6, but in P5 one way to get around the awkwardnesses on backgrounds is to used a square prop and apply the texture to that.

Yeah, and the girl's teeth look like fangs a little... But that's what I'm talking about when I mentioned the black spots. Andrew

Thank you...I really wasn't making fun. I just was surprised the black dots had the swelling around them. I haven't seen that before, but I have had the displacement map problem in Poser 5.

I didn't think you were! Would have taken seconds to get rid of them in Photoshop, but that won't fly for an animation... Andrew

About the only one I can answer is the necklace-- cause P6 isn't here yet. Most props, like necklaces don't conform, they're parented. You adjust them with the y rotation, and x and z if you need to. They can be a pain, huh? God bless the merchants that smart prop their props. Oh, after you get the prop adjusted, um, properly, yu can resave it to the library-- as say, Jessie's fit. That should smart prop it. Also, about the backgrounds. Not sure how this impacts with IBL, but when I have probs with backgrounds not fitting in P5, I render to Tiff against black background and fit the background in with Photoshop, after adjusting the alpha channel. Or, I did, I've kinda forgotten how to remove the alpha channel. I hope this option remains in P6 as it allows you to have a much cleaner unpixelated background at times. Interferes with depth of field and shadow chaser/catcher/whatever though. Emily

Hi Emily! Funny you should mention, that's just what I did here- just rendered, saved as a Tiff, and threw the background down in Photoshop. I'd rather not have the problems though ;) Andrew
