I woke yesterday morning to a thundering sound of the City grinding down our street. I was amazed to see multiple layers of history revealed. Concrete, asphalt, brick and cobble stone. I would love to have seen this neighborhood 100 years ago.The Victorian houses all shiny and new, cobblestone roads lined with black slate slab sidewalks. Now most of it has been covered in Sears vinyl siding, asphalt and concrete.I wanted to call this Mixed Medium. LOL

Hand held with Canon 420EX Speedlite. I can't really tell this is a night shot can you?

"I awoke last night to the sound of thunder How far off I sat and wondered Started humming a song from 1962 Ain't it funny how the night moves ..." interesting display of textures, well composed :]

Interesting ryno - nice shot - this is why men stand around roadworks and look into the hole :)

And every one said, 'If we only live,
We too will go to sea in a Sieve,---
To the hills of the Chankly Bore!'
Far and few, far and few, Are the lands where the Jumblies live;
Their heads are green, and their hands are blue, And they went to sea in a Sieve.
